Affordable orthodontists do not mean that orthodontic care is inexpensive. What it means is that an orthodontist can help fit that expense into any household budget. Even with the expense of quality orthodontic care, Dr. Joseph Haack at 320 Dental Studio works with patients to make care affordable.
What Are Affordable Orthodontists?
Making orthodontic care fit within a budget isn’t as difficult as it may seem. Treatment can range from $3,000 to $8,000 depending on the severity of your alignment problems. While that seems like a lot of money (and it is), that covers the entire treatment period. That lump sum is spread out over the entire period, which can average 12 to 18 months.
Orthodontic treatment differs from regular dental care in that it is not a one-and-done procedure. With a normal dental procedure, you get your teeth cleaned or get a filling, then you’re done until your next appointment. Having braces, Invisalign, or other orthodontic care is on-going. Meaning that you can get your braces, but you will need periodic adjustments and monitoring throughout the treatment period.
When you have your first examination, the doctor will examine your X-rays, medical history, and complete an oral examination. Every treatment plan is individualized. The doctor will discuss their recommendations to straighten your smile. That discussion will include the many ways that orthodontic care can fit within your budget.
Adding Orthodontic Care to Your Budget
Making changes to your budget can be stressful. Orthodontic care can be stressful. At 320 Dental Studio, one of our goals is to remove that stress. We use a number of highly-guarded trade secrets… we’re just teasing. We use a variety of tools that are readily available to help you to achieve your goal of having a perfect smile.

At 320 Dental Studio, we offer a Paid-in-Full discount. If you are able to pay the full amount upfront, this discount can lower the overall cost significantly. Payment in full with a credit card allows you to receive the discount. But there are other ways that we defray the cost of treatment.
If you have dental insurance, our staff will help you evaluate your policy to determine if your insurance will cover a portion of your care. In many cases, an insurance policy will cover up to $2,500 (and sometimes more) toward any orthodontic treatment plan.
Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) through your employer are another way to decrease the cost of care. Because having a straight smile aids in maintaining whole-body health, many plans include braces as an accepted medical expense.
After we have applied all insurance, HSA contributions, and special pricing discounts, the remaining amount is what needs to fit into your budget. For qualified patients, 320 Dental Studio offers monthly payment plans for the balance. There are also third-party credit options available (subject to approval by the lender).
